Rulebook

1.Introduction-


Join the BGMI Tournament at Damru Fest, hosted by Rishihood University! With multiple rounds and intense competition, this event promises an unforgettable gaming experience. Compete in online qualifiers, and if your team makes it, battle it out in the LAN Grand Finals on-site at the university!


2. Eligibility


• Open to all students enrolled in 11th/12th grade or undergraduate/postgraduate programs.

• All participants must use mobile devices. iPads and emulators are not allowed.

• Teams must consist of 4 players, with 1 substitute allowed.

• All players must register before the tournament begins.


3. Tournament Format


Round 1: Online Qualifiers

• Teams compete in multiple matches across designated maps.

Top 6 teams from each group move on to the next round.

Duration: 5-6 days

Remarks: Matches will be streamed online.


Round 2: Online Playoffs

• Teams that qualify from Round 1 compete across various maps.

Top 4 teams from each group advance to the next stage.

Duration: 5 days


Round 3: Online Stage

• Teams compete in multiple rounds to narrow down the competitors.

Top 32 teams will qualify for the Semi-Finals.

Duration: 4 days.

Remarks: Matches will be streamed online, with teams divided into groups.


Note: Number of Online Rounds may vary according to the number of teams registered.


Semi-Finals: LAN Event 

Top 32 teams play in a double round-robin format to determine who qualifies for the LAN Finals.

Duration: Day 1 at Damru Fest (LAN event at venue).


Grand Finals: LAN Event

Top 16 teams compete in an offline LAN event at Damru Fest.

Duration: Day 2 at Damru Fest (LAN event at venue).

Remarks: Matches will be played live, with an audience present.


4. Points System


Placement Points:

• 1st Place: 10 points

• 2nd Place: 6 points

• 3rd Place: 5 points

• 4th Place: 4 points

• 5th Place: 3 points

• 6th Place: 2 points

• 7th-8th Place: 1 point

• 9th-16th Place: 0 points


Kill Points:

• Each kill grants 1 point.


5. Game Rules


Team Composition: Only registered players are allowed to compete. Using unauthorized players will lead to disqualification.

Cheating & Hacking: The use of cheats, hacks, or third-party software is strictly prohibited. This includes any form of automation, wallhacks, or aim hacks.

Glitch Exploits: Exploiting in-game glitches for unfair advantage is forbidden.

Bug Abuse: If a critical bug is encountered, the match may be restarted at the discretion of tournament officials.

Teaming: Collaborating with other teams is prohibited.

In-Game Behavior: Match-fixing, feeding opponents, or intentionally disconnecting is not allowed.


6. Tiebreakers


In case of a tie, the following rules will apply in order:

1. Total kill points across all matches.

2. Highest placement in individual matches.

3. Head-to-head performance between tied teams.


7. Technical Issues


Disconnections: If a player disconnects before the plane takes off, the match may be restarted based on the organizer’s discretion.

Server Problems: Matches may be paused, canceled, or replayed if widespread server issues occur.


8. Code of Conduct


• Players must display fair play and respect towards opponents, teammates, and officials.

• Offensive language, verbal abuse, or toxic behavior will not be tolerated.

• Teams engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct may face disqualification.


9. Reporting Issues


• Teams must report rule violations within 30 minutes after the match ends.

Proof (screenshots, video clips) must be provided to support the claims.


10. Broadcasting Rules


Streaming Rights: Only Damru Fest or approved broadcasters may stream the matches.

Player Streams: Players are generally not allowed to stream their matches unless explicitly approved by officials.


11. Appeals Process


• Teams may submit appeals through official channels if they believe a decision was unfair.

• Appeals must be submitted within the designated time frame after the match.


12. Registration and Fee


Registration: Open to all participants via the official Damru Fest website.

Registration Fee: ₹600 per team.

LAN Entry: 

Top 32 teams will receive free entry to the Day 1 Damru Mega Event.

Top 16 teams will receive free entry to the Day 2 Damru Mega Event.

Student ID card or any valid ID is mandatory for participation in the LAN event.
