CANVAS CLASH: LIVE PAINTING COMPETITION

1. Introduction:-

The Canvas Clash at Rishihood University is a dynamic platform for artists to showcase their creativity, skills, and unique artistic visions. This event invites participants to create original artworks in real-time, allowing for expression and innovation in a lively environment. Artists of all levels are encouraged to participate and share their passion for art.

 2. Eligibility:-

- The competition is open to all students currently enrolled in class 11th/12th of any school  or undergraduate/postgraduate programs at any college or university.

- Open to individuals only (no teams or collaborations).

- Participants must register before 28th November,2024.

- No prior professional painting experience is required, but is welcomed.

- Participants need to buy entry passes for the day.

 3. Competition Format:-

Duration :  The competition will last for 5 hours.

Theme :  A specific theme will be announced prior to the event, and all artworks must relate to this theme.

Materials :  Participants will be provided with Canvas and painting supplies.

Live Audience :  Participants will create their artworks in front of the audience, enhancing the interactive experience.

All artworks must be created live during the competition : no pre-prepared pieces are allowed.

 4. Submission Requirements:-

- Participants must submit their name, a brief bio, and a statement of their artistic approach upon registration.

- Submissions should be original and free of any offensive or inappropriate content.

 5. Judging Criteria:-

- Creativity & Originality : Uniqueness of the concept and execution.

- Technique & Skill : Use of materials and painting techniques.

- Adherence to Theme : Relevance to the announced theme.

- Composition & Design : Overall layout and visual appeal of the artwork.

- Engagement : Interaction with the audience and performance energy during the painting process.

 6. Prizes and Recognition:-

• Prizes will be awarded to the winners, including cash prizes i.e.

1st Position - 5000/-

2nd Position - 3000/-

• Winners will also receive Participation or winning certificates on their registered Mail Id's.

•  Audience Favourite : Special recognition, exclusive merchandise, and a      feature on the university’s social media.

• Top participants may be invited to display their work in future university events  or exhibitions.

7. Code of Conduct:-

- All participants must display respect for fellow competitors, judges, and the audience.

- Offensive behaviour or content targeting race, gender, religion, or sexual orientation will not be tolerated.

- Disruptive conduct or interference with other participants will result in disqualification.

- The event encourages a supportive and inclusive atmosphere for all artists.

8. Organisers' Rights:-

- Organisers reserve the right to modify the competition schedule, judging panel, or venue due to unforeseen circumstances.

- Performances may be recorded and used for promotional purposes, with proper credit given to participants.

- Any disqualifications due to rule violations will be at the discretion of the organisers.

9. Amendments:-

• The organisers reserve the right to make amendments to these guidelines at any time, with any changes communicated to participants in a timely manner i.e. 1 day prior to the competition.
