Welcome to the Melody Master, a thrilling showcase of talent and creativity! Musicians from diverse genres will take the stage to perform their finest songs,

whether originals or covers, captivating the audience and judges alike. Prepare for an unforgettable evening filled with exceptional performances and fierce

competition. Who will win the hearts of all and claim the title of champion? Let the music begin!

1. Eligibility:-

• Open to solo artists across all genres.

  
  

• The competition is open to all students currently enrolled in highschool or undergraduate / postgraduate programs at any college or university .

  
  

• All performers must register before 20th November,2024 to secure their spot.

  
  

• Participants need to buy entry passes for the day only.

  
  

2. Competition Format:-

• Online elimination round:- Participants need to submit a 2 minutes video of their performance in proper light and clear audio in a youtube/drive link format only as well as their general access ticket screenshot in

  
  

  .jpg format only during the registration itself based on which 10-12 finalists will be shortlisted.

  
  

•  Performance Order: Participants will get their performance number after the registration process.

  
  

• Performance Duration: Each participant will have a total performance time of 4-5 minutes.

  
  

• Setlist Requirements: Performers must prepare 1-2 songs, which can include a mix of original material and covers. 

  
  

• Audience Participation: The audience can vote for their favourite performer through a designated process influencing the final score alongside judges’ evaluations.

  
  

• Judging Panel: A panel of qualified judges will assess each performance based on the established criteria.

  
  

•  Equipment Use: All bands must bring and are responsible for their own instruments.

  
  

• Point Deductions: For exceeding time limits or not meeting performance standards.

  
  

3. Submission Requirements:-

-Participants need to submit their 2 min performance video in youtube/drive link format only and only the finalized ones would be performing at the campus.

-In case you need any music to be played in the background you need to submit that beforehand in Mp3 format.

-All submission files should be renamed as per the given format only:-

[Participant/team name]_[University name]

4. Judging Criteria:-

• Musicianship: Technical skill and proficiency of performers.

• Creativity: Originality in song arrangements.

• Stage Presence: Engagement with the audience and performance energy.

• Sound Quality: Clarity and balance of sound during performances.

• Audience Reaction: Audience engagement and support for each performance

.

5. Prizes and Recognition:-

• Prizes will be awarded to the winners, including cash prizes i.e.

  
  

1st Position - 8000/-

2nd Position - 5000/-

• Winners will also receive Participation or winning certificates on their registered Mail Id's.

  
  

•  Audience Favourite : Special recognition, exclusive merchandise, and a feature on the university’s social media.

  
  

• Top participants may be invited to display their work in future university events or exhibitions.

  
  

6. Code Of Conduct:-

• Original Material: Participants are encouraged to perform original pieces. Covers must be appropriate for the audience.

  
  

• Time Limit: Strictly 4-5 minutes; exceeding this will lead to point deductions.

  
  

• Respectful Content: Performances must not include hate speech or explicit content; violations will result in disqualification.

• Equipment Use: Participants may use their own instruments; equipment provided by organisers must be treated with care.

  
  

• Disqualification: For hate speech, aggressive behavior, or equipment violations.

  
  

• Judges’ Decisions: Judges’ decisions are final. Disputes should be directed to organizers respectfully.

6. Organiser’s Rights:-

•  The organizers reserve the right to disqualify any participant found to be in violation of the competition rules or guidelines.

  
  

• The organizers' decisions regarding the competition, including judging and prize allocation, are non-revocable and binding.

  
  

• Organisers reserve the right to use parts of your performance videos and pictures for marketing purposes. 

  
  

7.  Amendments:-

• The organisers reserve the right to amend or modify the competition rules and guidelines as necessary, with any changes communicated to participants in a timely manner that is 1 day prior to the competition.
