General Rules
1. Eligibility:
• Open to school students; participants must belong to the registered school or college.
• Each team should have 2 players—one to bat and one to bowl.
2. Registration:
• Registration must be completed before the event day, either online or at the designated registration desk.
• Walk-in registration is subject to availability.
• Teams must arrive on time for their scheduled match; no-shows result in disqualification.
Match Format
1. Team Structure:
• Each team comprises 2 players (1 batsman and 1 bowler).
• Matches follow a 1v1 format, with each team playing 2 overs.
2. Overs and Roles:
• Each match consists of 2 overs per side, with one player batting and the other bowling.
• Roles are fixed for each match (no role swaps mid-match).
3. Knockout Structure:
• Matches progress from Pre-Quarter Finals to Quarter Finals, Semi-Finals, maintaining the 2-over format.
• Finals will be of 5-over format and all the rules will be the same.
Game Rules
1. Batting Rules:
• The batting player faces the bowler for the full 2 overs.
• Standard scoring rules apply for runs, with boundaries counting as four or six based on the shot.
• Wide and no-ball rules: any illegal delivery gives the batting team a free hit and an additional ball.
2. Bowling Rules:
• Each over has 6 balls.
• No-ball and wide penalties apply; an extra ball is added for every no-ball, with a free hit awarded to the batting side.
3. Dismissals and Scoring:
• Standard cricket rules for dismissals apply (bowled, caught, run-out, etc.).
• Runs can be scored through boundary shots and running between wickets.
4. Tiebreaker:
• If a match ends in a tie, a Super Over determines the winner.
• Each team chooses one batsman and one bowler for a 1-over face-off.
• If the Super Over is also tied, the team with more boundaries wins.
Conduct and Fair Play
1. Behavior:
• Participants should exhibit sportsmanship towards opponents and officials.
• Unsporting conduct or offensive language will lead to immediate disqualification.
2. Official Oversight:
• Each match will be monitored by an official who makes final decisions on disputes or rule interpretations.
3. Fair Play:
• No external coaching or mobile use during matches.
• Players should maintain a consistent pace of play and avoid unnecessary delays.
Tournament Flow
1. Scheduling:
• Match timings will be announced in advance, and participants are expected to adhere to the schedule.
• Late arrivals are disqualified unless delays are due to unavoidable circumstances.
2. Match Duration:
• Each match lasts approximately 15–20 minutes.
• Teams should arrive 10 minutes before their match for warm-up and check-in.
3. Knockout Rounds:
• Winning teams advance through Pre-Quarters, Quarters, Semis, and Finals.
• Super Over tiebreakers apply in knockout rounds if needed.
Prizes and Recognition
1. Winners:
• The winning team will receive 5000 rupees.
2. Runners-up:
• The Runner-up team will receive 3000 rupees.
Disqualification Rules
1. Absence or Non-Compliance:
• Teams failing to appear on time or not following the registration process are disqualified.
2. Misconduct:
• Any violation of fair play or attempt to manipulate game results will result in immediate disqualification.
